About me

So, who am I? My name is Carolyn Carceo, the oldest of 4 kids in an Italian-Irish family, and I’m a New Englander, Massachusetts born and raised. I’ve traveled to other parts of the country, and I wouldn’t trade any of it for the Bay State. I have national and international penpals, including a lady, Jutta, from Germany, who is so close to me that we consider ourselves sisters. I have had the opportunity to finally travel to other lands, and have spent time in Germany (Stuttgart), France (Strasbourg, Lyon, and Paris [found Darius’ church! 😀 ]), and England (London). Quite an education!

After high school, I had a variety of jobs, including 5 years 9 months and change in the U S Air Force, which is how I saw more of the country. Since Oct 1984, I have been a security officer with the same company (3 names, bought out twice). For the most part, steady work.

I have been writing ever since I could put pencil or pen to paper. Creating my own worlds, populating them, and then writing what happens when the populations meet has always been fun, and is sometimes eye-opening. Sometimes I don’t know what’s going to happen until it does! Writers will tell you that often the characters will take over a story, and all you can do is try to keep up with what they’re telling you.

I am a fan of many team sports, and like to work out in the gym, hitting the heavy bag, practicing kenpo, or using the machines and free weights in the fitness center. I like to read fantasies and some good thrillers. Reading, writing, working out, exploring, learning, I keep busy.
